0.3100 EMR Rating

Our EMR is 0.3100, one of the lowest for mechanical contractors in the Washington State Fund. MacDonald-Miller’s ongoing focus on safety emphasizes training, education, and personal discipline. With more than three hundred OSHA 30 graduates on staff and two OSHA 30 classes taught each year, our team is constantly improving its ability to recognize and avoid hazards on the job.

People-Centered Protection

Our top priority is making sure every person goes home safe, every single day. We foster a culture where every voice matters, and everyone has the power to stop work if something doesn’t feel right.

Proactive Risk Management

Through detailed planning, rigorous training, and real-time monitoring, we anticipate risks before they happen. Our teams integrate safety into every phase of a project.

Innovation That Safeguards

We leverage technology, lean practices, and continuous improvement to make our worksites smarter and safer. By investing in tools and processes that reduce risk, we protect both our people and our clients’ projects.

I have worked for some well-respected companies in my career, but none of them can compete with our safety culture. The Safety Department can create all the safety policies you can think of, provide all the necessary training, but it only takes one employee to make one lapse in judgement and end up being involved in a life ending or life-changing accident, so I thank each and every MacDonald-Miller employee for making the conscience decision to work safely each and every day. All MacMiller employees not only have the authority to stop unsafe work, but we also all have the responsibility to stop unsafe work. Nothing is more important than ensuring every employee goes home each and every day. Lee Pyfrom, Director of Safety
